Banana Bread
Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup butter
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 3 mashed bananas
Directions
- Preheat over to 350°F
- In a bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt
- In a separate bowl, beat together butter and sugar until light
- Add eggs, one at a time, and the milk, beating until smooth after each addition
- Add half of the flour mixture and beat smooth, then half of the mashed bananas. Again, beat smooth
- Repeat with the remaining halves of each (flour mixture, then bananas)
- Lightly grease a bread pan and pour in batter
- Bake for 1 hour, or until inserted toothpick comes out clean
- Let bread sit in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove and place on a cooling rack until cool
